Her first Netflix series, Tidying Up with Marie Kondo, reinforced it all. Such is the key to the organisational guru’s success (over 10m books sold, a popular homeware line, massive cultural penetration round the world, a hit makeover show in 2019) her method and her brand hit the sweet psychological spot of blending practicality, aspiration and nonjudgmental kindness. Marie knows what is in my heart and that I will start one day. Alas, while I yield to no one in my adoration of the bestselling author of The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying and creator of the KonMari method of decluttering, I have not yet got round to implementing all – or indeed a single one – of her strictures and so cannot lay my hands on them. They seriously need a logistics team if they are gonna make u go over the moon for a job.I have all Marie Kondo’s books. I emailed them and have yet to get a reply so we'll wait and see if they will remove the job. I NEVER would have chosen to go 46mi for an hour just to make $24. On Handy, u choose which job u want to book based on time and location. Wth are they doing sending me 46mi in rush hr traffic with the expectation of not being late and without traffic its 1.5hrs away? I try to "call out" they say they will charge me $20. Im positive i signed up for a region that was no more than 30mi wide in either direction. So i look at my cleanings for today and they book me 46mi from my location. I tried to change my availability and they said hey you're about to cancel, thats $10! Im like.oookkkay. They booked me a week out.and I didn't know about it. They sent me a swifer like sweeper but no sheets.do i use the microfiber towels for that? No instructions provided.ģ. My first tidy cleaning was last night after work but I noticed a few things. Even with a 4 hour cleaning, I have to wait 20 mins outside just to confirm no one is there (even if you have directly spoke with the client who told you they - more. If I go to a clients house, they aren’t home and I can’t access not only do I have to sit there for 20 mins and wait for a tidy countdown, I only get paid $20 and at this point I’ve wasted time going there, time sitting outside and gas. For example, if I have a 2.5 hour cleaning and I cancel shortly before arriving, I have to pay $40.

I can understand a cancellation fee but it’s way overpriced and their system makes no sense. It’s $10 if you cancel the night before and before 8PM but say you wake up sick and you have 4 cleanings booked you’re going to pay anywhere from $80-$160 for calling out of your cleanings. For any of these they literally charge you anywhere from $10-$40 to cancel.

Tidy up los angeles full#
So if I happen to use my 3 waiver and I have a full day booked and I wake up deathly ill, my car is broken, my kids are sick, family emergency, accident on the way, the world is ending, Los Angeles broke off into the ocean. I do 4-5 cleanings a day sometimes, add that up. I understand it’s no good to cancel but they charge OUTRAGEOUS prices if you need to cancel and you only get 3 waivers ever 90 day. For 1 hour in LA I make $27 and for 4 hours I make $80, what sort of math is that? As well as the cancellation policy. You only really make money on the 1 hour cleanings. I personally want to just being a Homekeeper as they don’t pay enough. This was a really great place to work in between jobs just because it was convenient and accessible.
