MOTU Digital Performer 6 is truly an awesome piece of software. The price is very reasonable and I love having the capabilities to have so many different virtual instruments going at a time. This being said, I would only recommend MOTU Digital Performer 6 to those who want a piece of software to use MIDI with.

Like I said earlier, Pro Tools is my main software, but I find that Digital Performer excels where Pro Tools lacks in terms of MIDI. A lot of people love using Digital Performer because it has such a wide array of possibilities when it comes to using MIDI. It is very easy to use and makes getting MIDI ideas down a breeze. I've been using MOTU Digital Performer 6 for only less than a year but I've grown to love this software a great deal in this short time. This being said, there is something to be said for the fact that I've never had any problems at all running this software.

The interface of the software is very user friendly, and while my main software is Pro Tools, Digital Performer provides me with more options for MIDI based projects. Digital Performer 6 is a powerful digital audio workstation that has a comprehensive set of digital audio and MIDI sequencing tools. I didn't have any compatibility issues or other problems along the way and had the software up pretty quickly. I unplugged the soundcard from the Yamahas and they are absolutely silent.
The whole processing of installing and setting up MOTU Digital Performer 6 didn't take very long and was a pain free process. I've examined my whole system and narrowed it down to these possibilities.
